Like I said …… !!!!!

What’s Going On?

Snow Rothwell Leeds

My London Town

This time last year I was enjoying the sun in the beautiful lush green parks of London, playing with the kids and strolling hand in hand with my husband.

Need I say more!!

Wake up, wake up … we’re leaving!

Yesterday, I enjoyed a chat with a fellow Twitterer @CupecoyStMartin (the only place I want to be right now) telling me “It’s time to wake up and get on” after the beautiful festive season.  How right they were!

I was getting lazy and rooted to the spot, and just a little too comfortable in my nest. The weather is awful outside, and my mind is wandering as usual to the sunnier climbs of the Caribbean.

Christmas lights in the rain

I always need the sun to motivate me to do anything, and I mean anything.

Wet Wet Christmas

It’s twice as hard because the sun seems to have no intention of visiting us here in London any time soon.

Wet Christmas Lights

So here I am, doing as I’m told and putting fingers to keyboard and saying bye-bye this wonderful festive season and preparing to remove all the twinkling Christmas decorations and saying, Hi! to this fabulous New Year to come.

Christmas Lights

The Caribbean is still calling – I hear it loud and clear!

Christmas in Anguilla?…If only

I am wondering what would it be like to have a family Christmas in the Caribbean sunshine.  This is something I have never experienced.

I adore Christmas in England, and liken it to what Christmas would be like in the United States of America, our nearest comparison.  Every Christmas I have only ever experienced what has always and only been freezing cold.  Sometimes with lovely thick snow on the ground, but freezing cold.  Other times dull, miserable and wet outside, and as usual freezing cold, but I have never minded as I just adore the Christmas festive season.

I’ve also experienced Christmas in Cyprus on a few occasions, though many people are not aware it is very cold in Cyprus during the winter season.  This experience made me realise how much I appreciate the invention of central heating.

I would now love to experience a new kind of family Christmas.  A Christmas in Anguilla with the sun on my back and the sand between my toes.  I would probably still lay on the festive spread and traditions, plus the snow effect decorations, it just wouldn’t be right, would it?.  I would probably also light the flame effect fire for good measure, but an Anguillan Christmas would be a real treat, my Christmas treat, and why not!!

Anguilla…my work in progress

I must stop this day dreaming and concentrate!

I just keep dreaming of what it would be like to live on the beautiful island of Anguilla.

This place looks amazing, a Caribbean paradise on earth.

I use this method of day dreaming as an inspiration and motivation for my business to get me there one day, but sometimes it just takes over and work doesn’t get done. Instead, I just plough through the internet browsing amazing images of this beautiful island and its beautiful people.

Well, with pen in hand now,  I better get on with my business plan work, or maybe, surf just a little more.  I did say I needed the motivation!

Big Mac, large fries and a box of 6 McNuggets please!

My business plans, hopes, dreams and niche ideas are taking over my life.  I feel I have no time for myself but manage to spare the little breathing space I have left for my active family.

It is annoying, exhausting and totally frustrating not getting the answers or outcomes you hope for considering the amount of effort put in.  I continually have visions of the beaches of Anguilla peppering my thoughts to keep me motivated … as in “one day, one day!!!”  I am plagued with decisions and focused on making the right ones with the limited finances to fund the project.

But, d’you know what?

I’M LOVIN’ IT!!!
